What exactly do you want Portola to do with it? It's been cleaned and the paint touched up, along with other minor repairs. It needs a new traction motor IIRC. Why don't you contribute funds or labor and help instead of complaining or assuming the museum will scrap it?
We all know you have a love affair with the 4450 but I'm sick and tired of your posts criticizing the FRRS for having to make the difficult decision to scrap it. The reason 4450 was scrapped was made public many times over and were perfectly logical, especially considering that attempts to re-home it failed. Let's not forget that WPRM is a WP-focused museum, not a SP one.

To assume everything there that isn't under some sort of full restoration is likely to meet the same fate as the 4450 is ignorant and disrespectful of the museum's accomplishments and purpose.
