A recent issue of Strategy & Tactics magazine, and reports from other sources, say that water is already ranked up there with food and oil as a resource which nations will soon be warring over, and which our military is already planning its efforts around. Events from ancient history to the present day show where conflicts of one sort or another took place over water. A water war has slowly, quietly been going on just within the U.S., especially in the West. The "adjudication" process that swept through southern Idaho has now come to the panhandle, and we may soon see the government take away long-standing water rights from private land owners whose property could be sucked nearly dry to supply water to nearby communities, or communities far away (guess where) who can afford to be the highest bidder.
