Hogwash ??? BS ??? These were ( some of ) the reactions to a proposed railroad route over the Sierra Nevada, as promoted by one Theodore Judah in the 1860's.It was exactly this sort of hyperbole that built the West !!! While I have tried to remain on the siding of the Great NWP Debate, I don't doubt that SOMEONE will always be willing to part with their ( or others ) money, just to prove the naysayers wrong. Whether it's Huntington, Hopkins, Stanford, Crocker,The Governator, or whoever,( even Russell ),history has taught me to never say never...
