It's a step in the right direction.
BOB2 you're right They obviously need more frequent service like several Caltrains a day to SF and a few more Capitol corridor trains in the mid day.
Does anyone know how many trains UP will allow on the line and how many trains the layover yard in Salinas is designed to hold?
Does Caltrain and Capitol Corridor have enough cars to expand service to Salinas?
Does Caltrain have the money and desire to expand service to Salinas?
By the time they get this running Caltrain will be close to electrifying if all goes well so they'd have to switch engines at San Jose.
