Gary, that is Highway 99. To the left is down Salt Creek to the Sacramento and then up the river to Dunsmuir. To the right is up the hill to O'Brien and then down to the Pit River. It crossed the Pit upstream from the present I-5/railroad bridge and then down the Pit on the south (east?) side and under the present bridge. Note the piers, they could widen them and add a second track.
