One of the first lessons is that some of the self-appointed experts on these boards don't know much about the subject. Passenger cars DO have crash posts, and have had them since at least back in the 50's.
The F59's nd nmost other locomotives have a platform height higher than passenger cars.
And as a noterh poster amply pointed out, there is point beyond which the laws of physics overwhelm anything that might be built.
