Unfortunately Mr. Hunn, there is still spent fuel rods at PG&E's Humboldt Bay Nuclear Power Plant. I know this first hand, last year my employer built an underground vault to house the caskets that contain the spent fuel rods. Don't know what their plan is for them, but they are definately there. Several years ago while working in Eureka for a couple of years, I read in the local paper that there were some accountability issues with them and they were trying to locate 2 fuel rods about 20 inches in length that couldn't be found in the pools.
