The stupidity and corruption is dismally pervasive. They could have had their "Disneyland" train to downtown LA if they had concentrated on the missing link first and and made the herculean push. It would have for sure succeeded and you could have quickly built out north on the west side of I-5 to a point to spur east to Fresno. Voila 2 standalone viable segments to demonstrate you were literally on the right track.

But they let the endemic corporate corruption, aka lobbies, undermine most of the rational decisions in favor of the gerrymander.

So Party plan B clearly is overthrow Trump and reinstall Kumbaya. Slap on a bunch of taxes and send that baksheesh to PB-Tutor. Newsom is an opportunistic flyweight with zilch interest in transport.
