Do you think being "modern" and "coolest" was what motivated Bechtel to slime the Bay Area with a proprietary track gauge from the other side of the world? And a bizarro operating voltage and A and B cars?

But Bechtel did not have the nerve to all the way cool with like monorail just as Schwarzie and Kopp did not have the nerve to go all the way with the coolest of the cool - maglev.
