"RSG, said at the meeting Tuesday that it confirmed earlier estimates that investing in the Central Valley would generate 4.8 million new riders, compared with 2.5 million in Southern California and 2 million in the Bay Area."

About 4.5 million people live in the CHSRA valley area. They'll all have to ride at least once to generate 4.8 million new rides...gonna be some busy folks. How many will drive to the few stations to ride the bullet when they can save time driving their jalopies directly where they want to go?
