What are you saying? Yeah, it would have been nice to do this work before we issued the bonds (and incurred the debt service we're paying) and started spending money on a "cost is no object" system, without knowing if it was a good investment... We have plenty of data to do this kind of analysis.... But now, we've done this.... And, now the only question is how do we fix it and salvage what we can from this complete fiasco...
I'll happily take a 120 mph. trip, at a fity buck fare, if that is what will fill the trains, by meeting real travel demands with an attractive travel time, and at an affordable price to users. This project has been entirely planned and built to benefit contractors and politicians, not the travel dmands of actual consumers, nor the taxpayers....
