Sorry folks, but if you want a railroad into Coos Bay, let the taxpayers of that county and city pay for it. Why should anyone else pay money for this fiasco? As for tourists, forget it! Only tourist railroad which may possibly survive is Roaring Camp at Felton, Calif. or Durango & Silverton. The rest of them are DEAD! We are entering the greatest economic disaster since the 1871 Bank Panic and "long depression", which was brought on by mindless railroad speculation and investment (Northern Pacific Railroad) by Cornelius Vanderbilt and J. P. Morgan. Only difference to today is real estate and housing speculation and greed. Hang on folks, it's about to get ugly!
