I am with SP_Red_Electric on this one. Being a realist is not being a hater. I think many here need to pull their heads out of the sand.
Coos Bay Rail Fan;
There will be NO NET REVENUE generated by this line that is the problem and why this entire project makes not sense. It is a nothing more than a gamble that at some point something will change. If the Port had to use its own money there is no way they would be doing this as on paper only a fool would go forward.
The cost to operate and maintain the line properly will far exceed any revenue it generates for years if not forever.
Coos Bay has been hit hard economically but at what expense should be taxpayers support something that is not viable?
