I agree with you Dennis 100%. Please do not think I am attacking the railroad. I love the line more than any other. Mark Bassett is the true problem. I have done nothing but aid the operations of the railroad and Mark has ALWAYS been the roadblock. I offered to get the tank car back together for last 4th of July, Mark said no. I offered to do the lettering on the 93, Mark said no. Skip and Gene were the individuals who encouraged me to part ways with NNRy. They were the acting force in getting things changed there. They acted in my favor. Seams they have had a change of heart. I was at spring training last year and Merk and his wife were pissed. By the end of the whole thing I was treated like Marks best friend. Just a show I guess. I was promised by Mark and the board there was going to be change in the summer of 2007. Nothing changed in 4 months and I knew nothing was going to change. I left there in September as an employee and continued to volunteer over 30 hours prior to me moving to Cheyenne a week later.
There is more I think to myself. I do not understand how the president of the board is the president of the bank that handles all the NNRY funds. Sounds like conflict of interest to me. Why was/is Joan Bassett, Marks wife, doing the accounting of funds at NNRy? Something sounds fishy. Why does Mr. Bassett pick the board members, who are essentially his boss. Why are the local vendors never paid in a timely manner? Mark has refused to answer my query. Maybe we all should look into this...
