I don't know if I have ever seen a powered trolley frog with movable points for streetcars.* Trolley shoes, as well as wheels, find their way through a properly placed frog. Trolley buses, on the other hand, always use movable point frogs if they are diverging frogs. Sometimes these frogs are powered. Sometimes the action is mechanical, apparently responding to pressure from the right or left pull of the pole on the trolley shoe. Trailing bus frogs often (usually?) do not have movable points.
*An exception would be Market Street in San Francisco where streetcars and trolley buses use the same trolley wire. This does require movable points to accommodate the buses.
