Joe, what you've described about the Market Street streetcars and trolley buses could have been the case in Des Moines, which I wrote about above. There were many places where the two kinds of vehicles used the same trolley wires. Trolley buses lasted awhile after the demise of streetcars, but eventually they too disappeared and only motor buses ply the streets today.
