It seems to have been forgotten that people can scroll past and not make contributory commentary to it if they find it of no interest to them. Or is that asking too much? I think it's the latter.

This site has been known to host off-topic conversations. Several of these off-topic conversations had warning notices posted in the title that they were off-topic and people should avoid them if they weren't interested in the off-topic subject matter.
