A friend did some highway widening with HNTB in WA.
The I405 widening near Seattle removed a railroad overcrossing to the dismay of railroad fans like me. The traffic did not seem to improve one iota after the new lane went into use. Traffic still rolls at 0 - 5 MPH in that 2 mile stretch. What a waste of a railroad. It just makes me want to curse out our “leaders”. 🤬
