Durango trains got louder

As noted by one witness, the diesel horns seem louder than the steam whistles.

"Durango resident Julie M said she appreciates the history of the train, but it seems like the train whistle is being blown louder, more often and for longer durations than when she first moved to town 15 years ago. The horn is disturbing the peace and quiet of the town, she said."

"Tom C ... acknowledged the diesel locomotives sound louder than the steam-powered ones, but it doesn’t bother him; the horns are blown for safety reasons."
