Two errors in the above statement, George. First, according to a credible BNSF MOW employee who posts on other sites, the Martin repair was essentially completed a couple of weeks ago.
Secondly, nothing is being hauled out of the Veazey Pit. I was out there this afternoon. No rail cars have been inside the gate there for a very long time. Also, the spur has many, many intermodal and centerbeam cars stored in it right now, today. For verification of this, see my website, select Photos, and scroll to the bottom. There are four shots there I just added. First, looking through the Pit gate. Second, intermodal cars stored on the spur adjacent to the Pit. Third, centerbeams at a crossing in Cumberland (yes, that is the City Hall Saloon in the picture). And fourth, the line of centerbeams looking north from the above crossing in Cumberland. I doubt that they pull all those cars out of there and put them back so they can get to the Pit.

I suspect you were the A$$HOLE, George. I've had a number of contacts with them, and have always found them to be cordial. Do what you are supposed to do, and you might not have to shoot one (your words).
