The ADHD Angle & Greyhound(s) Riding Locomotives

Yes, I think there's some definite validity to the ADHD angle. I know several engineers that have those personality characteristics.
Among other things, Rob Sanchez was into raising greyhound dogs. His text message transcripts are available on the NTSB's website. In one conversation, he was bragging about his dog being up on the locomotive. How professional is THAT? Imagine the dispatcher trying to issue a mandatory directive over the radio, and, when it's being repeated back, there's a yelping dog in the background howling at the moon. Wouldn't a dog wandering around the cab of a locomotive be a distraction?
There was some sloppy railroading taking place at Metrolink up until September of last year, and it finally came around and bit them in the ass.

I’ll tell you...their mom...the pups. when the wildfires in lake arrowhead were raging & we got evacuated. Metrolink allowed me to bring her to work. she’s the ONLY dog that I know of that’s got to ride in the head-end of the cab car AND on the head-end of a Metrolink locomotive. I have pics to prove it...somewhere
