Yes, Watco will continue to run the ex-UP side. They continue to operate a successful shuttle run out of Thornton and they don't appear to want to "poop in their own bed" on that line or over to the top of the hill out of Colfax. True, they apparently really lost interest in anything east of Mockonema after the runway and the loss of the coal haulage to Pullman. There's very little chance that a tear was shed over the loss of the bridge.
The P&L is now operated by an outfit that really appears to be trying to make things work. There are plans that I can't mention here that are pretty ambitious and some marketing strategies that are increasing some carloadings already.
The CW is about to get a full independent inspection, where Watco stands to retain their full purchase price if things are nice and clean there. There's not a chance that anything "sinister" is happening or will happen over there.
