I can remember riding up to the City behind Trainmasters with my Dad, and stopping to grab a quick bite at the Doggie Diner across the street from the depot. Then we jumped onto a #30 trolley bus to head downtown. From there, onto an L PCC out to the zoo. Time permitting, a cable car ride (back when passengers helped turn the cars).

SF seemed like a friendlier place back then, and the commutes were more fun to ride too.
