I read about it in the online edition of the local newspaper and watched the local television news reports about it on the night it happened, then read about it and saw TV news reports again the following day. The first night, the media coverage was about the fact that the collision had happened, and the following day the reporting was focused on the press conference given by the Muni's representative and the NTSB's assigned investigator, both of whom presented factual information such as the chain of events that lead up to the collision using data downloaded from the event recorder of the striking LRV. I didn't detect any "speculative fantasy," but if you can point me to some, please do so.
