To Hep's point, the liner will straighten the rails with sufficient force that if the ties won't
hold the spikes they get left in pieces. The rails are straight and ties are wherever they started. We're making Nevada Industrial Rail in Grand Island go faster and they now plate the tie
ends on the "rebuilds" plus fill the spike holes with an expanding foam to keep the water out.
The ties are then reused upside down on the clean surface.
