I have always considered the Illinois Terminal sleeper to be the king of sleeping car service. Anyone who had the ability to get loaded in a lounge car, then screw in a sleeper under the singing wire of an interurban at track speed- while protected from the frozen night of the prairie- has certainly got my attention.
