I'm not sure what you're trying to say. Is the Palmdale/Sylmar link infeasable at high speed? I've been on the Metrolink trip between the two cities and it doesn't look geographically infeasible that a high speed corridor could be developed there. Not meaning to be contrary, just don't know.

What is the meaning of the comment that they're "following the UP"? Last I looked, there are only two routes from the San Joaquin valley into the LA Basin and they both are owned by the UP. Meaning to be contrary but still don't know.
