More like brain envy!

Even after they have spent all the 10 billion bond money and all the 2.5 billion in Obama funny money, we will still be arguing over the route, the NIMBYs will still be blockading, and UP will still be suing; with not one thin mile in operation to show for it all.

In the meantime, Califoria will slip into bankrupcy and the national guard will ultimately be doing what laid off cops can't. Kids let loose by all the closed schools, will be learning the lessons of life the hard way - in the streets! Heaven forbid that modern (dumbed down) parents actually step up and teach their own.

The big spenders will still be trying to spend money the state does not have. Foreclosures will again be accelerating, this time because of a new round of layoffs - caused by a new round of increased business taxes - and the death spiral continues. . . . .

We train nuts will continue to argue, Quentin Kopp or his successor will be grandstanding still; the affluent peninsula will still be demanding a multi trillion dollar tunnel; just so they can keep on pretending they don't live in an urban environment; and the rest of the Califorina voters will keep on being just as stupid as they have already proved to be; the beat goes on. . . . . .

Think that picture is too extreme? It's eminently more likely than HSR (at least as it has been envisioned in California) ever producing a single seat-mile of transportation.

And yes, the school closures and cop layoffs have already begun; district attorneys in some counties already have stopped prosecuting most misdemeanors!

As for the closure of California schools (highest in cost per pupil - 49th in education), it won't matter much anyways - the kids will learn about as much without 'em! But can wanton disregard of the law and civil breakdown be very far behind the loss of law enforcement?

Brain envy - the whole damn state is infected with it!

YAWN! -- It's time to go! I think I'll join the hoards already leaving - before they pass a law against that too - or try to tax it!
