Does anyone have a photo of the "Owl," or memories of riding that long-gone Oakland-Fresno-L.A. passenger train, anywhere on the West Side line or in the San Joaquin Valley? As a boy in Fowler, I saw the "Owl" a couple of times when, for some reason, the family was driving near the SP valley main in the wee hours. In April 1965 when the "Owl" gave its last hoot, rail passenger service ended for good here in Selma and nearby Kingsburg, south of Fresno.
