Reading the full text of the application press release suggests the main thrust of the project would be for "increased" (aka 1 more roundtrip) Roseville-Auburn Capitol Corridor service. UP and friends are using this as a reason to expand capacity on the full Reno-Roseville segment. Don't expect anything more than a Switch 9-Shed 10 2 MT segment plus Colfax-Rocklin tunnel notching on the #2 track.
