Mosby Creek line on the OP&E with a 70 tonner hauling a 50 car log train in 1968
Taking a chance and driving clear up to Elk Falls on Vancouver Island. Not only did they
allow me into the pulp mill to shoot their 50 ton Shay, but urged me to stick around that afternoon and watch her unload a barge. Not an everyday occurance.
Letting John West & George Werner talk me into leaving our tour group on the tarmac at
an Argentine airport and flying to Rio Gallegos alone instead of continuing on the Chile.
Got to see and shoot the little Misubishi 2-10-2s on a coal-hauling line that was the
southernmost ry, in the world then
Spending part of the summer of '99 in WMS, AZ working for the GCR, they were a great outfit and treated me well.
