Hoquiam was, from what I've read, a great railroad town at one time. The large lumber operations of Weyerheauser & Rayonier meant service from Northern Pacific, Union Pacific, and Milwaukee Road. All 3 roads had separate lines from Centralia, joint trackage from Aberdeen & joint facilities in Hoquiam. Puget Sound & Pacific serves the few rail customers left in the area nowadays.
