NP class S-4 on Buckley Bridge

The Enumclaw local crossing the White River in 1948, near Enumclaw Washington, it's quite a view from the caboose! Frank Thompson was a young brakeman at the time, having a seniority date of 3-7-47. No doubt, dad caught this job off the extra board in Tacoma. NP S-4 #1381 is the locomotive assigned this day. Sure glad he had his camera along!
