No SDP40s on the SP, but there were 10 SDP45s.
The 3 GP40P-2s were assigned to the Commute Pool from 1975 to 1985, then were reassigned to freight service in June 1985 and received freight unit numbers the following year. They became UP1300, UP1373 and UP1375 in 1999. The former 3197 now works for the Indiana Harbor Belt, but the other two are still on UP's roster. UP1373 is showing on a local at La Salle, CO, while UP1375 is on a yard job at El Paso, Tx.
