Video does show at least one tank car venting through a safety valve. That tank didn't appear to be on fire, but was being heated by it. Since the tank was tilted, there was a stream of ethanol (presumably) shooting from it, but apprently not igniting.

The fireman appeared to be fighting it from a distance, but who knows what the chance of a BLEVE or its impacts would have been?
