Good comments. Lucky you, half the Four Ways West books I've gotten are either dented up badly or have manufacturing defects. And it's been that way from several different book distributers, so I can't just point the finger at one person.
Most of the FWW books I have (and I have about 50 of them) have pretty good photo reproduction. The Pennsy and NYC books have poorer photo reproduction. I was surprised that the Miss Katy book had horrible blury and poor color photo reproduction, considering it sold out fast and goes for $200+ now for a so-so condition book.
The Tom Dill SP books and the GN and NP books are really good in general - both photo quality and captions. I could search through with a fine tooth comb and have trouble finding even the slightest caption inaccuracy.
I do find a few of the Morning Sun books to have sloppy captions, but at least the physical quality of those books is much better.
I also sense that Four Ways is winding down. They seem to rarely come out with a new book lately.
