Go on WCRF and you'll see otherwise. People not just contribute sightings but have developed means to postulate their whereabouts over extended periods of time.

Mainly, though, the hobby has been tarnished by arrogant pedagogues and young railfans who believe the railroad should instantly gratify their wishes. This is the newer component of the threat to our hobby, and I believe arrogance is the least of our worries compared to the vitriolic, spoilt takes on railroads which mar our hobby on the web.
