Their search engine is not very good, I have to say up front. Go in and search for Union Pacific Santa Barbara Sub, for instance, and you get like fifty hits, not a single one of which is headsupcoastfans (the one you want).

I know that there are the following sites for sure here.

"BrooklynSub"

"headsupcoastfans"

"calrailfans" (lots of chatter, but also has info)

"heritagelocomotives"

There might be a headsupnorcal or something like that. There was an I5 Corridor one, but it seems to have died.

Go to www.yahoogroups.com and fish around with the search engine. Try enough possible combos and you will find most groups. Joining a group usually takes about 24 to 48 hours.

If you are after a specific shortline or regional, most of them have yahoogroups following them.
