I was going to say, one typical military camera from WWII through Korea, etc. was the Kodak Medalist. Thing is built like a tank! And takes excellent pictures. Unfortunately, with the copal lens shutter, not the easiest for railroad photography. Great for roster shots! And a Speedgraphic with the Ektar is just fine, especially with the focal-plane shutter. Hell, any large format is pretty forgiving. I actually carry both in my camera bag at the moment. Of course, have to re-spool the film for 620 on the Medalist.
