Hi Everybody-- I am not an expert on cameras. Had my share of Brownies, Disc, and a variety of film sizes. 127, 120, 620, 110, 126, 35mm, et al..
But I couldn't resist to make mention of a great camera story involving the late, great Warren Wing. Warren passed away on August 31, 2011. It was a great loss. I attended his very well attended Memorial service on October 29, 2011.
At this memorial service, one of the attendees got up and addressed the rest of us and told of the time that HE and another railfan invited Warren to take a trip with them to Montana to "shoot trains" . Warren eagerly agreed and away they went. Warren had a fairly new camera of some kind or the other (cannot remember if it was mentioned or not), and while in Montana started shooting trains from the car while traveling down the road.
The speaker said that Warren was experiencing all kinds of trouble with that camera and getting very angry at the same time. Finally, totally frustrated and ticked off, the guy said that Warren suddenly exclaimed: "AssHxxx camera--and threw it out the window"!! (grin..)
The whole room erupted in laughter. It was great.
Cheers.
