Ore question

It's ore from the Red Dog mine in Alaska going to the smelter at Trail, BC. It comes in to the lower 48 at the Port of Everett (WA). This traffic resulted in a BIG upgrade of the Kettle Falls Sub to the border at Northport (WA) back in the early 90s (or late 80s--not sure if it happened before I moved up here). It used to travel via the CP around through Golden and Cranbrook to get to Trail.
