I have never seen any loading, but heard that it was at Everett. I'm pretty sure that they just unload with a scoop. I never heard of them betting "flipped". Back in BN days, the empties went west on train 699--a regional connection to Wenatchee. Something else took them to Everett. I also think that the loads used to go via Pasco. I'll have to check my photos of the Pasco-Spokane train from the '90s to make sure. I also know that during BN days, the ore traffic got so heavy a couple of times that they ran solid unit trains.
