Hey, Hutch...didn't mean to get riled up. That being said- you passed your comments off as your own. Had you made it clear you were speaking "tongue in cheak" my response probably would have been different, if I had responded at all. (Which is one of many problems with boards like this one- all you have to communicate is words. I can't see sly smiles or other body language upon which we use to express far more than what we convey with words). Bottom line is I tire of the complete lack of understanding of what it takes to keep railroads going in a lot of the railfan world.

I would hope the agencies would chose based on the contents of bid packages alone...after all, if they were interested in corporate longevity, the Roaring Camp people had just about every one of the other bidders beat...

As I said, it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
