The last few years the POVA has operated M-W-F. I have not been up there this year.
They operate out of Usk,WA and generally leave Usk around 8 am for Newport, WA.
At Newport they run around their train and head for Priest River where they generally have a few cars to pick up from the Stimson reload. At Laclede they switch the mill and then into Sandpoint to drop off their train. They have been running to Sandpoint for a number of years and no longer have to drop their train at Dover. At times they get held at Dover for quite awhile if something if the UP has a train in the vicinity on the old SI.
They have been storing a lot of cars at Newport, Old Town, Thama, etc. Nothing has been running north of Usk except for the Lions Club passenger trains and car storage trains in the last few years. My experiences may not reflect what is now going on up there.
