The line from Kettle Falls to Grand Forks is alive and well. "Normal" operations are two round trips per week, usually leaving Kettle on Monday and Thursday. There is the potential of a great increase in lumber carloads on this line in the near future related to one of the mills in Colville. When this comes to pass, there is a strong possibility you will see trains on the line five days per week, at least as far as Cascade, BC. And yes, Interfor and Pacific Abrasives continue to ship a steady volume of cars out of Grand Forks.
