W&I in Pullman today with the F-unit and the GP-30, getting ready to pull some bare tables off the old UP Colfax line. In Colfax, the crossing signals on the southernmost crossing on Main Street have been turned sideways and it appears that the WSDOT paving project will be eliminating this crossing during this summer's repaving project which will put an end to any hopes of returning rail service between Colfax and Pullman and will also put an end to hopes of P&L shippers gaining access to UP and Hooper line customers gaining access to BNSF.
WSDOT appears to have marked the Farmington Spur crossing on the P&L south of Belmont for removal as well, if the marks are accurate, it will end service to one grain elevator on the spur (hasn't loaded recently) and end any prospects of gaining business from a wrecking yard that located at the end of the spur a couple of years ago. Speaking of Belmont, chlorine tanks regularly come and go from the storage site there.
