A truck driver was shaken up but not seriously hurt when his truck was clipped by the engine of the Mount Hood Railroad near Parkdale at around noon Friday.

Passenger Amy Case said she and a friend were on the open deck of the train behind the engine when the crash occurred.

"I don't know if he didn't see the train or was trying to beat it, but the train hit the truck right behind the cab and knocked the truck on its side," Case who lives in Vancouver said. "They are out there measuring the skid marks, and closed down a stretch of the road."
