Thanks. I recall the brakeman on the ATSF Cajon wreck of (I think) 1988 where I-15 was shut down for three days, that he jumped and they found him deceased in a very definite way. They story goes he jumped at 40 or so MPH. That's why I asked about the 30 MPH report.

Years ago, we would still cheat a little when switching, but my limit was about 15 MPH. I suppose, however, given that same circumstance I would jump too, had I the presence of mind.
