I have been to many different rail museums around this country. In my opinion CSRM does by far the best job of interpreting to the general public what rairoads meant to the development of the United Sates. Only at some European museums such as in Switzerland do you find similar quality.

CSRM is not meant for foamers. Their numbers are too small and they are too cheap to provide needed support. Several museums estimate that rail enthusiasts make up well under 10% of their attendance. They count as enthusiasts people who had a Lionel train as a kid and have always throught trains were neat together with the foamers with clothes full of railroad badges.
