Fringe? Just who the hell is this fringe?
Nevermind! It's actually quite obvious who is being referred to here as a fringe! It is the 48% of citizens who voted republican, along with the disaffected 35%, who stayed home four years ago. Yep! that 83% of the people who failed to vote "Correctly" last time, and are now @#$%& so much, are definitely a fringe alright!
As apparently, is anyone at all; who disagrees with our current president, his ugly classist dividing of America, or his tripling of the national debt in just three and a half years - much of that without the Constitutionally required authority from Congress. Hell, it took well over a hundred years to incur just the first third of that. And only 3.5 years for the rest of it!? And what's to show for all that, besides a whole lot on NOTHING - except maybe continuing double digit unemployment (read that as "Depression"), as is still being reported in business journals - but not in the government's whitewash.
And just how the hell does this isolated Merced to Fresno segment help the cause of public ground transportation any at all?
FACT: It doesn't! - just helps tie down imaginary federal dollars, for an imaginary project that is going to only result in imaginary trains on imaginary tracks carrying imaginary passengers. IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN no matter what lawless scumbag politician gets re-elected. Indeed Kaliphonia will be lucky enough, just to dodge a total collapse of their State government, and of what little civilization still exists there.
Shall we dare ask, how this billion dollar isolated segment could possibly be utilized in the interim, without a big huge temporary dogleg to connect it to something actually useful. Or is it just supposed to sit there until the rest gets built. . . . .
OH NEVERMIND ! It just occurred to me to question myself: "And just how the hell does posting on this forum to a bunch of political morons help the cause of public ground transportation?
-- Especially when I could instead be racking up billable hours, on a fully funded real project for real trains carrying real passengers on real tracks. . . . . . I think I'll signoff now and get busy doing something actually useful.
